MISO P&C has successfully achieved silicone resin bonding for aerogel water-based paint
through continuous development and effort. While silicone resin bonding can significantly
enhance the mechanical performance of aerogel paint, it is a highly challenging process
that required extensive research over a long period. The bonding with silicone resin has
improved heat resistance and water repellency. This new resin bonding allows for application
in extreme environments, expanding the range of applicable materials and conditions.
Additionally, it can create a smooth surface. The successful bonding with silicone resin is
expected to solve the challenges faced in developing special fibers with textile companies,
and sample production is underway.
